Bobby Beals is a Santa Fe–based painter and co-founder of Beals & Darling gallery on Canyon Road. His paintings of horses and longhorns bring a contemporary sensibility to the imagery of the American West. Working on raw linen, he pairs expressive brushwork with open space, allowing the natural surface to become part of each composition.
